I use colours that are bright or dull. My favourite colour is turquoise but my room is orange so I suppose I have two favourite colours. Here are some of the times that I use colours, when I am drawing, when I am doing a collage and when I am painting. There are lots of beautyfull colours out in the big wide world that are waiting to be found…

that is lovely Joe- and you’re right, there are so many beautiful colours waiting to be found. I like the colour of the bluebells in the garden, do you?
The best colours are of course red, white and green. These are what I like to look at the most
I’m in an orange/turquoise phase too!
(show us some of your art then….!!!)
I like how you arranged the blocks of color. You do seem to have a feel for it.
There are many fabulous colours indeed. My favourite part is the names, eg dioxazine purple, titanium white, lamp ebony black, raw sienna, burnt umber. There is a great book by Victoria Finlay about the use and manufacture of colour in paintings. It is called (appropriately) “Colour”. Your library might well have a copy.
Great post Joseph.
The arrangement of the squares really work as a visual image of what you mean.
My favourite colour is Racing Green which is a dark, rich green. I like dark blue and orange as well. I am not too keen on yellow unless it has a tinge of orange in it.
